 Leisure & social life
As well as being able to access leisure and social opportunities in the community that are available to all, there are also various activities which specifically cater for adults with learning disabilities, especially those with more complex needs who may be less able to benefit from other opportunities. Some of these are listed below.

Case Study:  Danny Brown
Danny is 46 and lives at home with his Mother Eileen.
He provides a fantastic example of how someone with a learning disability, with a bit of help from family and friends,
can enjoy an active and a fulfilling leisure and social life by making use of opportunities which exist for everyone.

Danny goes bowling once a week, enjoys a visit to the pub and a game of pool or two. He has also played in a local darts team. His passion is Liverpool FC and his mum regularly takes him on trips to Anfield.
