Sporting Opportunities

 Sporting Opportunities

Anyone with a learning disability, of whatever age, can get a tremendous amount of enjoyment and fun by taking part in sports and being physically active. And, of course, there are all the health benefits which this can bring! Throughout Northamptonshire there are loads of sports clubs and activities going on at sports and leisure centres - far too many to list here - many of which would welcome people with learning disabilitis or which might put on special sessions. To find out more a good place to start is the Northamptonshire Sport website where you can search for clubs and activities in your area. They also have a special section on Disability Sport.

In addition, here's some sporting activities specificly for people with learning disabilities. If you know of any more, or have stories of successful sporting experiences that you would like to share, please Contact us.
